Bio
Hi, I’m Karen. I am a compassionate psychologist with a wealth of experience working with children and families in Queensland schools. I am particularly interested in working with trauma, where, together with my clients, we work collaboratively to build a safe space where clients can feel heard, explore their challenges, and develop effective strategies for leading fulfilling lives.
Originally from London, I moved to Australia 20 years ago and quickly fell in love with its vibrant culture and strong sense of community. My personal journey has profoundly influenced my professional approach. Having overcome cancer, I bring a unique understanding of the emotional and psychological impacts of serious illness. This experience fuels my passion for supporting individuals going through similar challenges and helping them find resilience, hope, and strength during difficult times.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with clients to address a wide range of concerns, including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Women’s Health
- Emotional regulation
- Attachment-related challenges
- Life stressors and transitions
- Child and Adolescent mental health
Each client’s journey is unique, and I tailor my approach to suit their specific needs. I strive to help individuals develop the tools and insights they need to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and clarity. Whether working with children, adolescents, adults, or families, my goal is to foster resilience, enhance self-awareness, and support meaningful, lasting change. It is a privilege to accompany individuals on their path to emotional well-being, personal growth, and a brighter future.
